KIDS HANDBUILDING PUNCH CARD

Want to have a date night and give your kid the gift of crafting? These punch cards are good for kids (8-12) open studio time on Fridays** from 4-6 PM. They will be provided with a choice clay, clay supplies, underglaze, tools, and guided direction to learn the basics of handbuilding. This includes pinch pots, coil building, slab rolling, sgraffito, texturing basics, as well as clay templates to make boxes, berry bowls, ofrendas, mugs, and other unique shapes.

Parents and kids will have the choice to keep or recycle the work that they made at the end of class. If they choose that they want to keep the piece, it will be bisque & glaze fired and available for pick up within 30 days.

The parent is required to sign in and sign out the student. Liability form and emergency contacts are required upon sign in.

About your instructor: Lizette Sanchez is a multidisciplinary artist and Bay Area native. Her dedication to community and craft has made a lasting impact on youth throughout the East Bay for the last 22 years. Lizette is the Co Head of Ceramics at The Crucible Industrial Arts and also teaches at the Richmond Art Center. Her ceramic sculptures have been shown in many galleries.
