MONDAY EVENING 6-9 PM 6 WEEK HAND BUILDING CLASS WITH JENNIFER CUARO

This class is great for an introduction to hand building and creative technique. Your instructor will teach you how to hand build, coil, use a slab roller, pinch pot, use potters tools, and how to apply glaze. The class will explore the ceramics process from start to finish.

This class meets on Monday evenings from 6-9 PM for 6 weeks starting on May 11th.

Jennifer Cuaro is a cross-disciplinary artist with a background in materials science. Her work explores structure, texture, and transformation via curiosity about the physical properties of clay and an appreciation of her cultural heritage. As an instructor, she fosters an inclusive, engaged, and supportive learning environment. She encourages exploration and process-based learning, helping students build strong foundational skills while also supporting creative risk taking. She lives in the East Bay and teaches handbuilding and wheel throwing at multiple studios in the area.

The course includes a 25 lb bag of clay, free firing, and access to glaze materials. An additional 3 hours of open studio time per week is also included.
